1. Acceptance of these terms

By using this website (melittasolutions — the "Site") or requesting a service through it, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or book a service through it. Melitta Solutions is operated by Ulrich Cupido as a sole proprietor based in South Africa.

2. What this Site is (and isn't)

This Site provides information about our beekeeping, bee rescue, pollination, education and wax-product services, and lets you get in touch or request a booking via the contact form, service enquiry form, the Report a Swarm safety wizard, WhatsApp, phone or email. Submitting an enquiry does not automatically confirm a booking — every job is confirmed directly with Ulrich Cupido (or Uhlanto Cupido) before we attend a site or begin work.

Nothing on this Site constitutes professional pest-control, structural, electrical, veterinary or medical advice. The Report a Swarm safety questions are general guidance only, not a substitute for your own judgement about immediate danger — if there's a genuine emergency to a person's life or safety, contact local emergency services first.

3. Nature of bee rescue & pollination work — please read

Bee rescue and removal work can involve inherent risks, including but not limited to working at height, working near live bees capable of stinging, proximity to machinery or structures, and general property access risks. Melitta Solutions holds relevant occupational safety certifications (see Certifications) and takes reasonable precautions on every job, but:

• We cannot guarantee a sting-free outcome for anyone on or near a job site, including occupants, bystanders, pets or livestock.
• Relocation-first methods are used wherever reasonably possible, but the specific method used on any job is a professional judgement call made on site, based on safety and the condition of the colony.
• Pollination service outcomes (crop yield, pollination rate) depend on many factors outside our control — weather, existing pollinator populations, farm practices, and hive health during transport — and are not guaranteed by any statement on this Site.
• Wax products are supplied as described at the time of order; care and handling after delivery is the buyer's responsibility.

Specific liability terms, insurance details and safety requirements for a given job (e.g. site access, keeping people/pets clear of the work area) will be confirmed directly with you before work begins, and take precedence over the general statements on this page.

4. Placeholder / illustrative content

Some figures, service-area descriptions, and pricing details on this Site are marked as placeholders pending final confirmation (for example, bracketed notes like "[Add pricing]"). Treat any unconfirmed figure as indicative only — final pricing, availability and scope are confirmed directly with you before a booking is agreed.

5. Enquiries, quotes and bookings

Submitting the contact form, a service enquiry, or a Report a Swarm message is a request for us to get in touch — it is not a contract until we've confirmed the job details, timing and (where applicable) price with you directly, by WhatsApp, phone, email or in person. Either party may decline or reschedule a job before it's confirmed.

6. Acceptable use of this Site

You agree not to: attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Site or its backend (including the contact-form API or database); scrape or bulk-harvest content without permission; submit fraudulent, abusive or harassing enquiries; or use this Site for any unlawful purpose. We may block access, refuse a booking, or report unlawful activity where appropriate.

7. Third-party links and tools

This Site links out to third-party services including WhatsApp, phone dialling, Google Fonts, and (for the contact form) Cloudflare-hosted infrastructure and, optionally, the Resend email service. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of those third-party services once you leave this Site or once your message is handed off to them — see our Privacy Policy for more detail on how each is used.

8. Intellectual property

The text, photos and design of this Site belong to Melitta Solutions / Ulrich Cupido unless otherwise noted, and may not be copied or reused commercially without permission. You're welcome to link to this Site.

9. No warranty; limitation of liability

This Site and the information on it are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by South African law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Melitta Solutions and Ulrich Cupido will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this Site or reliance on its general content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability arising from a specific written service agreement, which will govern in the event of a conflict with this page).

We may update these terms from time to time as our services or this Site change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
