FAQ

Common questions, answered.

Everything below is a quick reference โ€” for anything specific to your situation, just get in touch.

How quickly can you respond to a bee swarm or hive?

WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach us, and we respond year-round. Response speed depends on how far the job is from us and how urgent it is โ€” for anything involving immediate danger, use the Report a Swarm safety check or message us directly rather than waiting for a form reply.

Do you kill the bees, or relocate them?

Relocation over extermination, always, wherever it's reasonably possible and safe. The exact method used on a given job is a professional judgement call made on site, based on safety and the condition of the colony.

Is bee removal dangerous for me, my pets, or my property?

We take reasonable precautions on every job and hold Working at Heights, Basic Fire Fighting, and Basic First Aid & Life Support certifications (see Certifications), but bee rescue work carries inherent risk โ€” stings are possible for anyone on or near the site. Keep people, pets and livestock clear of the work area, and use the Report a Swarm safety wizard so we know what we're walking into before we arrive.

What areas do you service?

[Add your town/region and how far you travel for rescues and pollination contracts.]

How much does bee removal or pollination cost?

Pricing depends on the job โ€” height/access, colony size, and distance for rescues; hive count and contract length for pollination. [Add your pricing structure once finalised.] Get in touch for a quote.

Do you offer pro bono removals?

Yes โ€” pro bono options are available for schools and NPOs. Mention this when you get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

What's the difference between Report a Swarm and the contact form?

Report a Swarm is a short safety-first wizard built for active swarm/hive situations โ€” it asks about immediate danger, machinery, animals and access before building a WhatsApp/email message for you. The general contact form and service enquiry form are for anything less urgent: quotes, bookings, and questions.

Do you offer pollination services for farms or orchards?

Yes โ€” we place managed, healthy hives on farms, orchards and smallholdings during flowering season, including site assessment, delivery/placement/collection, and health checks during the contract period. See Services for details.

Can you run an education session for our school or group?

Yes โ€” talks and workshops are available for schools, churches and community groups. [Add duration and group-size guidance.] Book through the Services page.

Do you sell wax sheets or other wax products?

Yes โ€” locally produced wax foundation sheets are available for beekeepers, sold by weight/sheet size. [Add pricing.] See Wax & Wax Sheets for more.

What certifications do you hold?

Working at Heights, Basic Fire Fighting, and Basic First Aid & Life Support, all issued by Heart Guardians Emergency Training. See the Certifications page for details and the real certificates.

What's the fastest way to reach you?

WhatsApp, for anything urgent. Phone and email both work too โ€” see the Contact page for every option, including a second WhatsApp number for Uhlanto Cupido, our co-beekeeper.
